Last Night Midnight Madness went Great we had lots of fun a couple of BIG winners, everyone scored Sweet deals. We knit and laughed and carried on. One of the most entertaining moments was the lady who walked in to the shop and straight faced asked Kamille how much were the Christmas Stockings, Kamille's response was a classic knitters, "Priceless, you have to learn to knit, then learn colorwork, buy the yarn then take the time to complete the project." the lady in response,
looking truely horrified and disgusted replied
"this is definately not my kind of shop, all you people are CRAZY!" then walked away from the shop as fast as her feet would carry her glancing back every few seconds to make sure we would chase her. It was absolutely hilarious!
I guess the idea of the holidays fast approach now seems real. For those of you who were concerned about not being able to procure appropriate amounts of fiber to work Thanksgiving day we will put your fears to rest we will be open our normal hours, 10-8 Wednesday, we will observe the holiday Thursday but will be open again bright and early on Black Friday at 10am for all of you who feel the need to go "out" but want to avoid the crowds or just need some where warm and comfortable to knit. So come see us because everyday Christmas creeps closer and you have fewer hours to knit gifts. Plus we just got in a new stock of Knit Picks Harmony wood needles, great for any knitter and as was aptly pointed out to me the double points would make great "pick up sticks" for any non-knitter.
